Karl takes the next step to becoming a priest

Bishop Michael McKenna admitted Seminarian Karl Sinclair as a candidate for ordination when he concelebrated Mass at the Cathedral of St Michael and St John on Sunday 12th November 2017.

Karl recently completed his sixth year at the Seminary of the Good Shepherd, Homebush and is well known amongst that Diocese, especially in the Parish of St Brigid's, Dubbo, where he completed his pastoral placement in 2016.

Bishop Michael concelebrated Mass with Fr Paul Devitt, Vicar General; Fr Joe Dooley PE, Fr Tony Mannix CM, Fr Danny Meagher, Rector of the Seminary; Fr Ed Travis, Spiritual Director of the Seminary; Fr Arthur Givney, first year director at the Seminary; and Fr Rode Hanna, a newly ordained Chaldean priest. He was also assisted by Deacons Josh Clayton and Terry Mahony. Close to 30 of Karl's fellow seminarians were also in attendance, as well as many family and friends.

Karl will continue his formation in preparation for ordination to the diaconate and then finally to priesthood, God willing. He will spend the rest of the year at the Parish of Our Lady of Perpetual Help, Coonamble assiting Fr Antony Vattakunnell. Please keep Karl in your prayers as he continues his journey to priesthood.
