Sixth Sunday of Easter
The fifty days from Easter Sunday to Pentecost are celebrated in joyful exultation as one feast day, or better as one 'great Sunday' (Athanasius). These above all others are the days for the signing of the Alleluia. The Sundays of this season rank as Paschal Sundays.

Increase in us, Lord, the faith you have given us,
and bring to a harvest worthy of heaven
the praise we offer you at the beginning of this new day.

Keep us faithful to your law
in thought, word and deed.

Be our helper, now and always, free us from sin,
and bring us to salvation in that kingdom
where you live and reign with the Father and the Holy Spirit,
one God, for ever and ever.

AMEN
