New Translation of the Roman Missal

The Roman Missal is the liturgical book that contains the texts for the celebration of the Mass.

After much work, a new English translation of the Roman Missal has now been approved by the national Bishops’ Conferences and the Apostolic See for use throughout the world.

The text is almost ready for publication and will, after a period of familiarisation and transition, adapted to local circumstances, replace the translation that we have been using for the last four decades.

The Diocesan Liturgy Commission will be holding a series of seminars

and workshops for parishes, musicians, and other interested people, to ensure a smooth transition for the introduction of the New Translation in 2011.

More information will be available on this page shortly.
