The Commission meets four or five times a year and consists of six members from various parishes within the Diocese. The membership is representative of the three regions of the Diocese and a wide range of ecumenical experience. The members of the commission are appointed by the Bishop following nomination from among the laity, religious orders and the clergy.

Members of the Commission write a monthly column - 'Towards Unity'
for the Diocesan paper, the Catholic Observer.
