Overview

Welcome to Adult Faith Education in the Bathurst Diocese!

Faith is a gift.
Faith is a
relationship with God:
Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
Faith is
belief in the teachings of the Church.
Faith is
participating in community worship.
Faith is
living life grounded in the
Gospel of Jesus Christ.

We are encouraged to nurture the gift
of faith through.......

  • prayer
  • reading reflectively the Hebrew and Christian scriptures
  • being actively involved in a Christian community
  • reflecting on the teaching of the Church
The FEAST Logo
The Adult Faith Education logo features a group of people around a table.
It could be a kitchen table. It could be the table of the Lord for the celebration of Eucharist.
The motto on the logo is...Faith Education, Adults Sharing Together: FEAST.
Adult Faith Education is an act of the Eucharistic Community.

The Adult Faith Education program in the Bathurst Diocese seeks to provide opportunities for faith development through study groups at Parish level, workshops and conferences at
Regional and Diocesan levels, and by supporting the Parish structure of
Neighbourhood Church communities.

Key Diocesan organisations such as Centacare and the Liturgy Commission contribute to the
Adult Faith Education program.

Partnership with other Dioceses, and membership of Adult Faith Education Associations such as National Pastoral Planners and Australian Catholic Association for Faith Education
offer further enrichment.

On-line sites provide additional resources for those with internet access.

Spiritual libraries are located at the Catholic Resource Centre Kelso and
St Joseph’s Mount Bathurst.
