Our role
The paper is a channel of communication for Bishop Patrick Dougherty to those in his pastoral care, and each issue features the "Bishop Writes" column on Page 2.
Also acting as a means of communication for the parishes within our widespread diocese, we try to carry Christ's work forward by relaying the simple but wonderful happenings in every-day Catholic life.
Believing the "news and views" of all, including our many small centres, are just as important as those of the bigger centres, we encourage these places to "tell their story" in words even, sometimes, just with a picture.
We try to keep readers informed about the universal Church and to integrate an element of education through regular columns, written by a dedicated group of contributors with great expertise in their particular fields.
Columns cover matters such as Liturgy, Adult Faith Education, SRE, Social Justice etc. and set out current situations and opinions - often offering readers a totally new perspective.
