PROCLAIM 2014 to be Live Streamed

Parishioners across the country can watch the PROCLAIM 2014 keynote addresses, thanks to a partnership with Roland Corporation Australia.

The PROCLAIM 2014 national conference on evangelisation will take place at The Concourse, Chatswood, Sydney from 21 - 23 August 2014.

Conference keynote addresses by Fr Michael White and Mr Tom Corcoran will be live streamed. Fr White and Mr Corcoran are the authors of Rebuilt, a book about the experience of reviving parish life in an American Catholic parish.

Make Church Matter’, a keynote address by Fr Michael White and Mr Tom Corcoran will be live streamed on Thursday 21 August at 10.30am.

Another keynote address, ‘Moving Members from Consumers to Contributors’, will be live streamed on Saturday 23 August at 10.30am as Fr White and Mr Corcoran look at practical ways you can move people to take greater responsibility for their personal faith as well as contributing to the mission of the Church.

Information about the live stream will be updated regularly during the event through the PROCLAIM conference website: www.proclaimconference.com.au/livestream.

A number of workshops at the Conference will be available to watch and listen to online through the Archdiocese of Sydney xt3.com service, Catholic media service CRadio, and Catholic radio show, The Journey, produced by the Diocese of Wollongong.

Registrations for PROCLAIM 2014 have reached a staggering 544 participants. The registration process is now closed as the conference venue, The Concourse, will be at full capacity for the three-day event.

More than 470 participants will attend each day of the conference with 494 participants registered to attend on Thursday 21 August, 480 on Friday 22 August and 473 on Saturday 23 August, which is the parish day.

Director of the National Office for Evangelisation Mrs Marita Winters said: “These numbers reflect more than one hundred additional participants per day than for PROCLAIM 2012, which is great news for the Catholic Church in Australia.”

The first conference, Proclaim 2012, attracted less than 400 participants daily. The three-day conference is organised on behalf of the Australian Catholic Bishops Commission for Evangelisation by its National Office for Evangelisation.

Further information about the conference schedule and speakers is available at: www.proclaimconference.com.au or by calling 1300-4FAITH (1300-432-484).
